The void
is not lack
of everything,
it is absence of self.
Lack of everything
is nothingness.
In the void you vacillate,
the passage that follows
is always anonymous
though still passage;
thought becomes
a puff of smoke,
the present deed
is the mirror
of experience.
In the void
prayer too
is voiceless.
In the void
the answer
is the tear-stained face.
